Lack of Change / Variety.
Lack of change or variety in your workout routine is one of the biggest mistakes while looking to build muscles fast. Very often you will see guys in the gym doing the same workouts every time. They perform the same exercises with same weight, reps and intensity every workout. It is like expecting different outcomes from same actions. Doing the same workout every time might give you a pump but it will not make you gain muscles. Our bodies are made in such a way that they get used to any kind of environment in which we put them. In order to maximize you results, you need to bring variety in your workouts. Try to change the exercises and poundage every other week. Not only it will give you the results that you want but it will also make your workouts more interesting.
Lack of Rest.
Working out too often is not good for your body and over all health. Remember, excess of any thing is bad. Training with high intensity takes a toll on your body and in order to recover from a hard workout, you need to take rest. Your body grows and recovers when you are resting. Lack of proper rest can make you sluggish and prone to injuries. Always take at least two days off in a week to achieve optimum results. Moreover, taking a couple of weeks off after every 3 or 4 months is a great way of providing much needed rest to your muscles.
Lack of Proper Nutrition.
The biggest mistake that a lot of guys make is that they do not eat enough to build muscles fast. In order to build quality muscle mass, you need to eat more calories than you require for the purpose of maintaining your body weight. Rule of thumb is that you should eat around 500 calories more than you normally do in order to make your muscles grow. Keep in mind that all those calories must be from healthy and nutritious sources. Another common mistake is that people try to follow the diet plans given in fitness magazines. Those magazines do not specify whether that diet is for a 150lbs guy or 200lbs guy. Eat big and healthy to speed up you muscle growth.
