Getting ripped and “cut” is one of the most popular terms in the fitness and health industry. Almost all people want to get ripped and look like the cover models of most health magazines. However, it is on really rare occasions that you see people who are completely ripped and have the body of cover models. This is not because getting ripped is particularly hard; it just takes massive amounts of discipline and having the right strategy.

Most people who hit the gym regularly have adequate levels of discipline and what they lack is having the right strategy. They make a lot of common mistakes and these mistakes are what keep them from getting the results they have always wanted. In this article I am going to go discuss some of the most common mistakes people make when it comes to getting ripped and how you can get the body of your dreams by avoiding these mistakes.
The first mistake a lot of people make when it comes to getting ripped is that they don’t have a diet plan. A lot of people just start doing a lot of cardiovascular training and hope for the best. You have to monitor your calorie intake and make sure that you are getting fewer calories than you burn every single day. The easiest and in my opinion only way to do this is to have a diet plan you follow consistently. By doing this there will be no doubt in your mind and you will always know that you are on the right path and getting closer to your goals.
The next mistake people make is that they panic as soon as they see that they are losing muscle. You can’t avoid losing muscle when cutting and it is just a part of the game. However, by having the correct diet and by having really intensive workout sessions you can make sure you lose as little muscle as possible.
The last major mistake people make is that they follow through on their diet plan for 10-12 days and they have a so called unhealthy day where they eat everything their heart desires. By doing this you have just wasted the last 10-12 days! This strategy can be done if you just wish to maintain your weight, but if you are looking to get ripped you can’t allow yourself to have these luxuries.
Avoid these mistakes and you will be pretty ripped within 8-16 weeks.
